Step into the medieval charm of Chester, a city steeped in rich heritage, showcased by its ancient Roman Amphitheatre, city walls, and the iconic cathedral. Don't miss the opportunity to capture a moment with the Eastgate Clock, the nation's second-most-photographed timepiece, trailing only Big Ben. This exquisite landmark was erected to honour Queen Victoria's 1897 Diamond Jubilee.
Chester's Roman roots resonate throughout the city, especially in its renowned 'Rows' galleries, where medieval half-timbered buildings are home to exquisite boutiques, restaurants, and cafés. For those seeking a different perspective, consider a scenic cruise along the tranquil River Dee.

We then visit Market Drayton, a pretty Shropshire town which beautifully combines historical charm with rural tranquillity.
