Regional departure by coach, then to Leeds with time for some Christmas shopping (apart from self-drive passengers). Why not explore some of the city’s historic arcades? Thornton’s Arcade was built in 1878 - the first of many shopping arcades in Leeds. The neo-gothic structure was designed by George Smith for its namesake Charles Thornton, who decided to cover the shopping alleys. Queen’s Arcade is a charming Grade-II listed building named in honour of Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee and has stood on Briggate since 1889.

Continue to our hotel in West Yorkshire for a three-night stay.
