Fly to Athens where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a three-night stay.

This morning is dedicated to exploring the city of Athens, as we include a panoramic tour of the city. We see the House of Parliament, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Presidential Palace and the Panathinaikon Stadium. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the impressive Acropolis. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore further or alternatively why not join our optional excursion along the coastal road of Attica to Cape Sounion. Here stands the magnificent Temple of Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea, where we have an included guided visit. In ancient times, mariners would see the brilliant white marbled temple and know they were close to home. Today’s temple was built in 444 BCE on the site of the older temple. This evening we will take a walking tour of the Plaka area and dine in one of the local tavernas.
