Hotel (The Grand Riva Del Garda) could be better... doing renovation work in the hotel while we were staying there dusty/ dirty foot prints along the corridors.... packs of laminate flooring leaning against walls next to lifts..lifts covered with dust inside...dust all in the rooms health and safety...what health and saftey...food was unedible and staff not interested in any feedback...there is a lot of room for improvements and the staff could be better prepared for any good/negative comments rather than saying they didn't understand English which they clearly did because they had been speaking it on and off during our stay but when it came to negative feedback all of a sudden they didn't understand....overall the hotel is situated in a lovely area with plenty of places to explore.... Venice Carnival is a must go to destination even for the day...surroundings beautiful...

This trip was lovely, the tour guides we had were Joan and George, they were fabulous very friendly, very knowledgeable, very professional, nothing too much trouble, the coach was kept very clean. Its a long long journey, and the very early starts are a killer, but the overall experience was brilliant. The excursions were fabulous.

Absolutely fabulous! The hotel and its location - on Lake Garda - was superb. Visited lovely little places around the lake and enjoyed the boat ride along the coast. The carnival itself is not a typical one with floats, it’s people dressed in costumes and you’re are taking in the atmosphere. Lots of time to fit in things you want to do and see. We had a gondola ride (that the drivers prearranged) and we went inside the Doge’s palace. Verona was our last touring day and it didn’t disappoint - go with the guide as she was very knowledgable and we finished off at the arena where we had a great lunch overlooking it. All in all a great trip - just wish it was a couple of days longer!
