Discover the natural wonders of Canada, on this fully escorted holiday, as we travel though some of the country’s most spectacular national parks. We begin in the city Calgary, where you can enjoy a tour of the main sites, such as Fort Calgary and the Glenbow Museum. As we leave the city behind and journey along the Trans Canadian highway, we are met with striking scenery of the Rocky Mountains and Banff, before we make a visit to the jewel of Banff National Park, Lake Louise. Continuing on our journey to Yoho and Jasper National Parks’, experience glistening lakes and magnificent mountains, and tour the spectacular Columbia Icefield. Travel to Vancouver by VIA Rail’s Canadian train and pass through the steep slopes and plunging valleys of the magnificent Rockies. In Vancouver we take you on a tour of the famous sites, before finally paying a visit to Victoria.

Fly to Calgary and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Explore downtown or ascend the Calgary Tower for an unforgettable view of the city. We stay in Calgary for two nights.

We drive along the Trans-Canada Highway into the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The majestic peaks of the Canadian Rockies fill the horizon. We soon arrive in the charming resort town of Banff for a two-night stay. We include a sightseeing tour of Banff and Lake Louise, which is regarded as the jewel of Banff National Park with its turquoise waters and spectacular glacier.

Today after breakfast we depart for Jasper, the jewel of Jasper National Park. En route we stop to tour the Columbia Icefield. We enter a rugged wilderness as we travel up the world famous Icefields Parkway. At the spectacular Columbia Icefield we board an Ice Explorer that will take us onto the surface of the ancient Athabasca Glacier. We stay in Jasper for two nights.

Depart on a full day sightseeing tour of Jasper National Park. Jasper National Park is a sweeping expanse of scenic beauty - of awesome mountain peaks and century’s old glacial ice, of flower carpeted meadows and mirror like lakes.

This afternoon we board VIA Rail’s Canadian train and depart west towards the seaside metropolis of Vancouver. Along the way we pass the steep slopes and plunging valleys of the Rockies, the high plains of the British Columbia interior and travel through the tunnels and chasms carved out of the living rock over a century ago. The gentle pitch and sway of the cars provide a soothing ride for our overnight journey. Dinner & overnight on board VIA Rail.

Arriving in Vancouver in the morning, we disembark the train and depart on a fascinating city tour of Vancouver. Highlights include the towering trees of Stanley Park, English Bay, the historic laneways of Gastown, exotic Chinatown and much more. We also enjoy a visit to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Marvel at this feat of engineering set amongst the towering trees of the protected parklands. The afternoon and evening are free to further explore this pedestrian friendly city. We stay for three nights in Vancouver.

Today we enjoy a full day excursion to Vancouver Island and the charming city of Victoria. Depart Vancouver this morning on a pleasant cruise through the Gulf Islands resort region. Upon arrival the group will visit Butchart Gardens - here thousands of species of floral plants and trees are found in a vast amphitheatre of rock creating a wonderland of colour in a former rock quarry. The highlight of the day will be the sightseeing tour of Victoria including highlights such as the Beacon Hill Park, Thunderbird Park, the Empress Hotel and Oak Bay. Return to Vancouver in the evening.

Spend a leisurely final day in Vancouver. The Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountains form the backdrop to your day at leisure in Vancouver. You might want to do some shopping down on Robson Street, relax in Vancouver’s playground Stanley Park or stroll through the markets of Granville Island.
