We depart our hotel after breakfast and travel to Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland. In Chur we board the fabulous Arosa train and enjoy the scenery as we trundle by the town wall, the Maltese tower and the Obertor gate. The train then leaves the town behind and begins to climb up into the mountains crossing the elegant Langwieser Viaduct. We arrive in the charming resort of Arosa where there will be free time to take in the fabulous views and fresh mountain air.
Later this afternoon we travel to Liechtenstein’s capital, Vaduz for a short visit before returning to our hotel.

This was a very good holiday, we saw an awful lot in a very short time. The highlight of the trip was the visit to Neuchwanstein Castle, unfortunately this was late in the day so a bit of hanging around waiting. We all agreed even the drivers that Leger needs to swap the timing and have us visit there in the morning and visit Fussen in the afternoon. The Arosa train journey was excellent but when we got there at lunchtime everything was closed, another victim of poor timing. The hotels were good in both in Wavre and Feldkirch both in the actual towns so you could get out and explore at night. Feldkirch especially is a lovely place. Enjoyed the holiday and would recommend, it will be even better when the excursion times are improved.

The coach that we travelled on had faulty air conditioning and the weather was quite hot, which made our journey very uncomfortable. The driver kept telling us not to use the toilet. On our last overnight stop we left at 6AM to rush to Calais to catch an early ferry which resulted in us waiting in stop 24 for three hours for our coach home. We had the impression that our main driver was doing things to suit himself and nog the customers who pay his wages.

A good trip, should have chosen the longer trip, as there was a lot of travelling for 3 days in the Alps..
