This morning, we travel by coach to Penrhyn Castle. Built with the profits from the North Wales slate industry and Jamaican sugar plantations, this neo-Norman castle was once the grand residence of the Pennant family. With luxurious rooms and vast gardens, there is plenty to discover during your free time.

Next, we continue by coach to Beaumaris, a delightful seaside town nestled on Anglesey. Admire the pastel-hued cottages that line the streets or enjoy a stroll along the seafront, soaking up the stunning views of the idyllic Menai Strait.

This afternoon, we travel by coach to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens. Located at the side of the Menai Strait, Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens is often referred to as one of North Wales’ best-kept secrets. When Anthony Tavernor purchased this semi-derelict estate in 1996, it was overrun with wild foliage and the once grand gardens were lost to time. However, the gardens have been resurrected over the last 25 years, now sprawling over 10 acres, displaying a beautiful blend of formal designs and natural landscapes.

On arrival, we have tea or coffee and cake before enjoying a guided tour of the gardens. After which, there is free time to explore further. Discover the estate’s history from the early 19th century, through to its decline and the rediscovery and restoration of the gardens. Absorb the formal beauty of the walled garden and lose yourself in the stunning valley gardens.

Today’s exploration begins with a coach ride to Gwydir Castle, a renowned Tudor house. When Peter Welford and author Judy Corbett purchased this castle in 1994, it stood a shadow of its former glory. The duo undertook the large task of restoring the house and gardens, ensuring that its ancient charm and natural beauty remained intact. One of its many jewels is the seventeenth-century panelled dining room, which was bought by William Randolph Hearst – known for his connections with Citizen Kane – and has now been returned to its rightful home of Gwydir. Our guided tour uncovers over 500 years of history, stories and secrets before we enjoy an included cream tea. There will be further free time to wander through the gardens, with the chance to catch a glimpse of the castle's resident peacocks.

Next, we head by coach to the picturesque village of Llanberis. Nestled by the tranquil Lake Padarn and at the base of Mount Snowdon, Wales' highest mountain, this village is a haven for nature lovers. The real highlight awaits as we board the Snowdon Mountain Railway for a return journey to the summit and the visitor centre, soaking up stunning panoramic views as the train chugs its way up the 4-mile track.

We return by coach to the hotel, where we enjoy dinner this evening.

This morning, we travel by coach to Bodrhyddan Hall. Home of Lord Langford and his family, the Grade I listed Bodrhyddan Hall is one of the few remaining family-owned stately homes in Wales. Integrating architectural styles from the Jacobean and Victorian eras, the interior contains extensive collections of artwork, antiques and beautiful furnishings. The gardens cover around 12 acres and boast a formal parterre, cascading lawns and a Japanese walk of life, along with a number of native trees and others from further afield, including giant sequoia, cedar of Lebanon and an Indian bean tree. We enjoy a guided tour of the house before coffee, cake, and more free time to explore at your leisure.

Later, we travel by coach to Bodnant Garden for an afternoon exploring at your own pace. A botanical marvel, it spans 80 acres and celebrates over 250 years of horticultural history. As we wander, Italianate terraces give way to wildflower meadows, dense woodlands, and serene riverside gardens. Seasonal blooms, ranging from daffodils and magnolias to roses and waterlilies, provide ever-changing vistas. This garden was the brainchild of visionary industrialist Henry Davis Pochin, whose dream has blossomed into today's world-class destination. Even after its gifting to the National Trust in 1949, the family's touch remains, ushering in modern additions and opening previously private areas such as the Winter Garden, Old Park, Yew Dell, the Far End and Furnace Wood.

After our visit, we return to the hotel by coach and dine together at the hotel.
