Upon arrival at Denver you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
This morning, enjoy a short city tour of the “Mile High City", including the gold-domed State Capitol. Its 13th step on the west side of the building is exactly 5,280 feet above sea level – one mile high!
A short distance from Denver, we will enter Rocky Mountain National Park where you will feel like you are on top of the world. Here, 415 square miles encompass and protect spectacular mountain environments.
And, if you thought the journey to the park was beautiful, just wait until you experience Trail Ridge Road. Known appropriately as the “Highway to the Sky”, and offering incomparable views in every direction, Trail Ridge Road winds past countless peaks, through tundra high above the treeline, and crosses the Continental Divide at 12,183 feet.
We continue to Cheyenne, Wyoming’s capital city, which embodies the spirit of the Old West. Considered the nation’s railroad capital, Cheyenne is home to a collection of steam engines, including Old Number 4004, the world’s largest steam locomotive and one of the eight remaining Big Boys on display throughout the country!
Our journey begins this morning with a visit to Fort Laramie National Historic Site. Originally established as a private fur trading fort, this “grand old post” evolved into the largest and best known military post on the Northern Plains, and witnessed the entire sweeping saga of America’s western expansion.
We continue through the majestic beauty of South Dakota’s Black Hills to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, where you’ll come face-to-face with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln. A true serving of America’s rich heritage, it is sure to be a memorable experience!
Today, crossing back into Wyoming en-route to Cody, we will travel through Bighorn National Forest, where undisturbed rolling hills, alpine lakes, craggy cliffs, thick pine forests and the Bighorn Mountains dominate the landscape.
Upon arrival in Cody, we will visit the Buffalo Bill Museum. Celebrating the spirit of the American West, including the culture and art that bring the heritage of Wyoming alive. The Buffalo Bill Museum focuses on the life and times of William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody, the town founder and a living legend.
In the evening, enjoy attractions such as rodeos, gun fight re-enactments and iconic cowboy music (Seasonal).
Today we take an unforgettable journey into America’s first national park and nature’s wonderland, Yellowstone.
Here, the earth is in action with geysers, majestic mountain ranges, flowing rivers, waterfalls and ancient volcanoes. The iconic spots – Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs and Yellowstone Canyon – will be familiar from photographs, but seeing them in person is an incredible experience. They’re not just as good as you’ve heard – they’re better!
This mountain wild-land is also home to eagles, grizzly and black bears, buffalo, elk and much more, so you are bound to see wildlife wherever you go!
An exquisite mountain landscape where jagged peaks tower more than a mile above the Jackson Hole valley, Grand Teton National Park is located just south of Yellowstone. Rich with extraordinary wildlife, pristine lakes and alpine terrain, the Teton Range dominates the park’s skyline and stands as a monument to the people who fought to protect it.
A stop will be made at the Snake River Overlook, a location made famous by Ansel Adams, where views of the Snake River flowing alongside the mountains really puts the size of the Tetons into perspective!
We then continue to Jackson Hole, an area encompassed on all sides by mountain barriers.
Today’s journey takes us through scenic southern Idaho to Salt Lake City, the Mormon state of Utah’s capital and most populous city. Upon arrival, enjoy views of the State Capitol Building and downtown’s historic Temple Square - home to the 6-spired Salt Lake Temple and domed Tabernacle of the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
This evening, we recommend dining at The Roof Restaurant (optional and at an additional cost). The Roof offers an extravagant buffet and inspiring views of the Salt Lake Valley and Temple Square - a real treat!

This tour requires customers to have a certain degree of fitness as it is a very full itinerary. Wheelchairs must be prior approved by ATI. This is due to luggage space being at a premium on the coach. Customers are subject to 1 piece of hold luggage each, additional pieces are subject to approval by ATI and may be charged at a supplement. Passengers with medical conditions which impair their travels and may require assistance must make these conditions known at the time of booking. Tour Directors are not permitted to personally intervene or assist in medical emergencies, or assist passengers with prior medical conditions. Passengers with physical challenges must always travel with a companion who can assist them. All coaches are equipped with a lavatory. As facilities for properly serving the lavatory are extremely limited outside major metropolitan areas, the on-board lavatory is principally intended for emergency use. Of course, frequent stops are made throughout the day for the customers comfort. You may find that your tour coach does not have seat belts as American Law doesn't require them.
Please note, due to local laws at least one person in each room booked must be aged 21 years or over. Persons under 21 years of age cannot enter casinos (including those in hotels) alone in the USA and must be accompanied at all times by an adult aged 21 or over.
IMPORTANT VISA INFORMATION
Travel Authorisation via the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) is required prior to travelling to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program, for which an additional charge of approximately $14 per person is made. Log onto the ESTA Web site at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov and complete an online application in English. The web-based system will prompt you to answer basic biographical and eligibility questions typically requested on a paper I-94W form. Applications may be submitted at any time prior to travel, however, DHS recommends that applications be submitted no less than 72 hours prior to travel.
It is your responsibility to ensure you hold the correct passport and visa (if required) to enter the United States of America. If you are in any doubt please contact the appropriate embassy.
