Today, we cruise upstream towards the city of Koblenz, where we join the Moselle River – a more tranquil river valley in contrast to the vibrant Rhine. Later, we arrive in Cochem, the ‘Pearl of the Moselle’, a picturesque town with narrow streets and twisting alleys and restored half-timbered houses with slate roofs, overlooked by the magnificent Reichsburg Castle.

A day of fabulous scenery as we cruise to Koblenz, and re-join the Rhine. We continue our cruise to Boppard, the ‘Pearl of The Rhine’, where we spend free time exploring this charming riverfront town. Situated on the Bopparder Hamm, a large loop on the river, Boppard is famed for its wines and fine riverfront.

The best scenery awaits today, as we cruise through the Rhine Gorge, passing hill-top castles, picturesque towns and vine-clad slopes. This stretch of water is regarded as the most beautiful on the Rhine. We also see the legendary Loreley Rock before arriving in the ever-popular town of Rüdesheim. Why not join our optional 'Highlights of Rudesheim' excursion, enjoying sightseeing by little road train and visiting Siegfried's Mechanical Music Museum.After dinner, explore the bustling streets, including the famous Drosselgasse, which are lined with traditional bars.

We cruise downstream past the pretty riverside town of Bacharach, overlooked by Stahleck Castle. Continue past Pfalz Castle and St. Goarshausen to the mighty fortress town of Koblenz, situated imperiously at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Enjoy a stroll around the Deutsches Eck and join our optional wine tasting in Alken on the Moselle.
