Fly to Prague, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a four-night stay.

Spend today in Prague, the Czech capital in the heart of Bohemia. We have included a morning walking tour to introduce you to this beautiful city, affectionately known as the ‘Golden Town’. The local guide will meet you at the hotel in the morning, to commence our walking tour to discover the sights of this amazing city. Afterwards, you will have the remainder of the day at leisure to explore the famous sights at your own pace.

Prague Guided Sightseeing Tour

Today is a free day at leisure, for you to soak up the festive atmosphere of Prague with a day at leisure. The main festive Christmas markets take place within the Old Town Square and the famous Wenceslas Square. Warm up with a cup of Svarene Vino (mulled wine) as you explore the wooden huts offering traditional Czech handicrafts including puppets, Czech glass, Christmas tree ornaments and jewellery. Prague has much to offer any visitor from monuments and architecture such as the Gorlice which is the largest underground space at Vysehard which was created as part of the 33rd bastion of the Baroque fortifications or the Holescovice Docks which is the only port in Prague. You can also enjoy a walk in the many parks and gardens in the city like the Kaizel Gardens and the Franciscan Gardens just to name a few places to visit.

Prague

A further day at leisure for you to relax and explore Prague. For those passengers who have pre-booked, we travel to the small medieval town of Melnik on our optional excursion*. Located north of Prague this beautiful town lies on a high ridge overlooking the junction of the Vltava and Elbe rivers. The Castle, built in the Renaissance style, is one of the most important sights of the town. Below the castle are wine cellars and opposite is the St. Peter and Paul church.

*Please note that the Melnik excursion must be pre-booked prior to departure.
