A full-day, included excursion exploring traditional Holland. Firstly, we visit the picturesque fishing village of Volendam. Traditional style houses, drawbridges and quaint canals create the image of one of Holland’s most picturesque towns. We continue to Enkhuizen on the Ijsselmeer. There is so much to explore in this well-preserved town, including two magnificent 15th century churches, the largely intact 17th century city walls and city hall.
Includes Breakfast
Join our optional excursion, which takes us firstly to The Hague, then to the neighbouring seaside town of Scheveningen and lastly to Delft, famed for its pottery. Despite its imposing and impressive skyline, The Hague is one of Holland’s greenest cities on account of the many leafy lanes and vast parks. You will have time at leisure here, to explore all the ‘city’ has to offer. This afternoon we travel to the popular Dutch seaside resort of Scheveningen. With wide sandy beaches, pleasant promenade, picturesque harbour, seaside shops, casino and superb eateries there really is something for everyone. From Scheveningen we continue to the charming town of Delft. With Grand houses, arched bridges, courtyards and narrow alleys, Delft is traditionally Dutch in appearance, but it is for the production of ceramic pottery that the town is most famous.

Excellent couriers/drivers, Dean and Lawrence. Hotel very good but long way from Amsterdam. Would have preferred one nearer even if more expensive so less time spent travelling and more time sight seeing. Perhaps that could be clarified in brochure. Did not enjoy Scheveningen, more time in The Hague and Delft, which were very enjoyable, would have been better. Will use Leger again.

Very enjoyable holiday. My personnel grip would be to much time stuck in traffic instead of viewing towns and cities. Traffic around Amsterdam and Utrecht the worst.

Lovely trip but hotel was too far from Amsterdam. Every trip out meant travelling for quite a while, in heavy traffic. However, the hotel was comfortable and friendly. The coach was also very comfortable and the drivers made it very special.

Drivers Dean and Laurence best ever. Hotel very good. Canal trip (not the one recommended by the drivers) half the cost of the Ledger one very good. Food in Amsterdam good but dirty andyou took your life in your hands due to maniacal cyclists none of whom seemed to know what their bell was for or obeyed lights and the constant smell of cannabis. We would not go back. Hague a lovely city would have liked more time there and missed out horrible Schevengen what on earth made you include it. Delft was lovely. All in all glad we went but would not do a coach trip to Holland again as scenery boring and too much time on the coach due to the nightmare traffic.
