See the spectacular sights of Canada, as we visit the thundering Niagara Falls and the countries celebrated cities, from Quebec and Montreal, to Toronto. In contrast to this, we also visit the most influential cities in America, New York and Washington D.C. Join a full day’s excursion to America’s capital and experience the amazing architecture from the U.S. Capitol Building to the White House and Lincoln Memorial. In New York join us for a guided sightseeing tour, to Manhattan with highlights such as the Empire State Building, Times Square and Wall Street. This escorted holiday of a lifetime also visits Boston, one of America’s oldest cities, and the remarkable Amish Country, for a cultural experience.

Join our included, guided sightseeing tour by coach. Your local guide will show you many of Manhattan’s highlights, including the Empire State Building, Broadway, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Times Square and Wall Street. You will have the afternoon at leisure, for your own exploration.
Enjoy a day at leisure for your own exploration of New York City. Enjoy the tranquillity of Central Park, wander the streets of Little Italy or shop 'til you drop on Fifth Avenue with its famous stores such as Bloomingdales, Macy’s and Saks. Or perhaps enjoy a visit to historic Ellis Island and visit some of the museums and art galleries.
We meet up with our Tour Manager, leave New York and drive to Boston where we stay for two nights. Enjoy a guided walking tour along the Freedom Trail, which begins at Boston Common and winds beside the State House, King’s Chapel, the old South Meeting House, the Boston Massacre site and the fronts of many taverns and pubs where America’s ‘Founding Fathers’ toasted freedom. Walk the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill, steeped in history, which contains one of the city’s most beautiful neighbourhoods.
A free day in Boston. Why not explore Back Bay, one of Boston’s most charming neighbourhoods. The streets are arranged in an orderly grid, and are renowned for elegant homes, the architectural marvels of Copley Square, and its signature stately boulevard, Commonwealth Avenue. The treasures of Back Bay are the grand Back Bay townhouses.
Begin the day with a tour of Quebec City, the French capital of the province and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include the Quebec Provincial Parliament Building and the Citadelle. Enjoy an included walking tour of the walled city, where you will see the Château de Frontenac, as well as unparalleled views of the Saint Lawrence River.

We head south to Montreal, the second largest French-speaking city in the world. Regarded as one of the ‘most liveable cities in the world’, Montreal is a joy to explore. Upon arrival, we enjoy a tour of Old Montreal, the area known as the ‘Vieux Port,’ with stops at Place Jacques Cartier and Notre Dame Basilica. In the evening, be sure to try out one of the many sidewalk cafés specialising in French cuisine with a Canadian influence. Stay overnight in Montreal.

Depart Montreal for the capital of Canada, Ottawa. This vibrant city of parks and flowers boasts one of the most impressive parliament buildings in the world, guarded by the instantly recognisable ‘Mounties’ – the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In the afternoon, continue along the 1,000 Islands Parkway to the largest English speaking city in Canada, Toronto, located on the shore of Lake Ontario. Enjoy an orientation tour on arrival. Stay overnight in Toronto.
Begin the day with a drive through Toronto with its impressive skyscrapers, most notably, the CN Tower. We continue along Lake Ontario to the magnificent Niagara Falls. View the thundering water of the Horseshoe Falls, one of the world’s most incredible natural spectacles. Take an included tour on the renowned Hornblower Niagara Cruise (formerly the Maid of the Mist) boat ride at the base of the Falls. Overnight in Niagara.
Today, travel through the rolling farmland of upstate New York, and enter the State of Pennsylvania. Travel through rural Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Visit an Amish Museum and see their 300-year-old tradition of simple living (admission included). We stay overnight in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Enjoy a city tour with such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I. Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the White House, home of every American President after George Washington. Next, visit Arlington Cemetery and see the lines of white headstones of America’s fallen heroes. The shrine to assassinated President John F Kennedy and his family is a sombre sight, but the view across the city is unforgettable. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute or simply walk the banks of the Potomac River.
Transfer to Washington Dulles International Airport for the overnight return flight.
