Dunkirk 85th Anniversary
Operation Dynamo – the Dunkirk evacuation – took place over a number of days in May-June 1940. More than 300,000 British and French soldiers were evacuated from the Dunkirk Mole and beaches. Thousands more stayed behind to defend the perimeter, and many were taken prisoner. For the 85th Anniversary period of this important aspect of the Second World War, we will travel to northern France to remember those who took part: from the soldiers on the beaches to the Little Ships.

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to our hotel in Belgium or northern France for a three-night stay.
At this stage, the exact details of the 85th Anniversary have not been announced, but during the course of the weekend we will attend local events which will include seeing the Dunkirk Little Ships which are planned to return for the anniversary, and a local parade in the town itself. We will also take time to visit the Dunkirk beaches and the Dunkirk Mole, Dunkirk War Cemetery and the Dunkirk Memorial to the Missing, as well as the Dunkirk War Museum.

You will stay for three nights at a city-style hotel in northern France or Belgium. Full details of your hotel will be advised with your travel documents.
Alize Hotel Mouscron
The 4-star Alize Hotel Mouscron is located in the heart of Mouscron. Despite not having its own restaurant, the hotel is ideally located only a short walk from the Mouscron Market Place, where a selection of bars and restaurants can be found. The hotel does have a bar, and all rooms are equipped with a T.V., tea and coffee-making facilities, and a fridge.
