Combining cities and coastlines, this holiday designed especially for the single traveller is the perfect way to enjoy a mini getaway. Spend time in beautiful Bruges and discover its wealth of remarkable architecture and excellent art collections, with, of course, time to sample the world-famous Belgian chocolate. You'll also visit the pretty seaside resort of Ostend with its renowned promenade and harbour. With the opportunity to explore the quaint cobbled streets of Ghent and even visit Ypres and its most important war memorial, the Menin Gate, this is the ideal short break for any solo traveller!

Today, we travel to the charming city of Bruges on our included excursion. The morning is free for you to explore the town at your leisure.
Bruges is one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities and is Belgium’s most visited town. There are stunning buildings which grace the centre, including the Gothic clock, town halls and medieval belfry that dominate the main square. The town also boasts some excellent art collections; add this to the myriad of canals, cobbled streets and shops selling famous Belgian chocolate on almost every corner, there is plenty to see and do!

Enjoy an optional excursion to the delightful city of Ghent, and the chance to join a guided walking tour to introduce you to many sights. The walking tour will lead you through the quaint cobbled streets and tree-lined canals of this historic and charismatic town.
Ghent manages to combine medieval architectural wealth and idyllic charm within its city walls. From St. Michael’s Bridge, there is a wonderful view of the skyline of Ghent, which includes the three impressive towers of St. Nicholas’ Church, and Sint Baafs Cathedral with its elaborate stone and marble naves.
We return to De Panne for an afternoon at leisure.

Enjoy an included excursion this morning to Ostend. The indisputable ‘Queen’ of Belgium’s seaside resorts, the city of Ostend gained its resort-town popularity from two Belgian kings, Leopold I and II, who faithfully spent every summer here. Be sure to make the most of your visit with a stroll along the promenade, where you can admire the royal monuments.
We return to De Panne for the afternoon at leisure.
Alternatively, why not join our optional excursion to Ypres? See the market square, overlooked by the dominating medieval Cloth Hall with its impressive 70 metre high belfry, or perhaps visit the most important war memorial in Ypres, the Menin Gate.
