With two full days at leisure to explore more of the city’s inspiring sights, be enticed by our optional excursion to see the New York Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker – a must at this time of year! The tour ends with a soul-stirring performance from the Harlem Gospel Choir at the morning service, which is sure to be an experience you will cherish forever.

Today, we set out on a day full of Christmas cheer! Join an included escorted walking tour of Midtown New York City, with an emphasis on the most wonderful time of the year!
We start with a visit of Macy's Herald Square to see the iconic storefront's window displays – a New York tradition since the 1870s and sure to get you in the festive spirit – then continue to Bryant Park, home to an annual Christmas market. The European-inspired open-air market features artisans from around the world. Located along Bryant Park’s allées and terraces, the holiday shops are housed in custom-designed, 'jewel box' kiosks. Enjoy local crafts, incredible food and goods from around the world.
After time to enjoy lunch at your leisure, we continue to the luxurious Plaza Hotel to view their festive Christmas tree and enjoy afternoon tea in the iconic and elegant Palm Court.
Following afternoon tea, we continue up to 6th Avenue to Radio City Music Hall, where you will enjoy an early evening performance of the Christmas Spectacular starring the women's precision dance troupe, the Radio City Rockettes. The 90-minute show features more than 140 performers and an original musical score, and combines singing, dancing and humour with traditional scenes. Since the first version was presented in 1933, the show has become a world-famous New York Christmas tradition.
After the show, we will walk down 5th Avenue to marvel at the glittering storefronts festooned in their Christmas liveries. Finally, end the day with a viewing of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, considered the epicentre of New York's Christmas celebrations.
Spend a full day at leisure to enjoy more sightseeing or Christmas shopping. Soak up the city's enchanting festive atmosphere, marvel at more of the spectacular decorations, and be sure to indulge with some delicious festive treats!

Today, experience the soul-stirring power of the gospel choirs at this morning's service.
We then discover Harlem with its unique Afro-American spirit and history. We will see the impressive Saint John The Divine Cathedral – the largest cathedral in the world – and the famous Apollo Theatre.
This afternoon, we transfer to the airport for the return overnight flight to the UK.
