A great, mountainous landscape awaits you in Zermatt. No less than 28 mountains surround the town at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn. We head by coach to Täsch, where we board the shuttle train to Zermatt, which is an auto-free zone. Despite tourism, Zermatt has preserved its originality and the traditional wooden chalets radiate its distinctive traditional charm, allowing you to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
If you prefer, you have the possibility to take the cog railway to the Gornergrat (extra cost payable locally), where you can admire the panorama of the Matterhorn. In the afternoon you will take the train back to Täsch and travel by coach to the final highlight of the day – the largest underground lake in Europe, Lac Souterrain St. Leonard. Enjoy a 30-minute boat ride through the cave, accompanied by a guide who explains all sorts of fascinating details about the origin and the history of this remarkable geological feature.

We travel to Martigny by coach and board the famous Mont Blanc Express. From your train window, experience an unspoilt landscape as we head to Le Châtelard, on the French border. From here, your coach will pick you up and take you to Chamonix. This popular high mountain town is surrounded by spectacular Alpine views of snow, ice and rock.
Stroll through the village or if you prefer, you can take the Aiguille du Midi, to the pre-summit of the Mont Blanc, with the second-highest cable car in Europe (extra cost payable locally).

A day to tantalise your taste buds! We drive to Montreux and board the Golden Pass panoramic express to Gstaad. Arriving in Gstaad, enjoy this glamourous chalet village which is a popular destination for international celebrities, with its famous shopping street and renowned eateries. From Gstaad, we travel by coach to the cheese dairy of Gruyeres, at the foot of Gruyeres Castle.
La Maison du Gruyere invites you to discover the secrets of cheese making, including a tasting! We'll also enjoy a visit to Maison Cailler – Nestlé in Broc – the chocolate factory.

This morning we head to Montreux, which is located in a sheltered bay on Lake Geneva, surrounded by vineyards and the snow-capped Alps. Due to its mild climate, Montreux is called the Swiss Riviera.
Here you have free time to discover the town and stroll along the most beautiful waterfront in Switzerland. Or, you can discover the old town with its small cafes and typical bistros – be sure to enjoy a glass of fine regional wine!
Afterwards, a short drive will take you to Chillon Castle for a photo stop. Chillon Castle is located on a rock on the shores of Lake Geneva. The moated castle is the most visited historical building in Switzerland. For almost four centuries, Chillon was the residence of the Counts of Savoy.

Today, we explore more of Lake Geneva on our optional excursion. We head first to Lausanne, built on three hills, surrounded by vineyard-covered slopes, with Lake Geneva at its feet. The resort boasts an attractive medieval old town with a gothic cathedral and small alleyways filled with cafés, boutiques and restaurants.
We continue to Geneva itself – situated between alpine peaks and the hilly terrain of the Jura. The city is home to the luxury watch industry and has a very cosmopolitan flair. With beautiful lakeside promenades and lively side streets, this is the perfect place to stroll and enjoy Switzerland’s elegant shops.

You will stay for six nights at the 3-star Alpine Classic Hotel in the village of Leysin.
Situated in the heart of the village of Leysin, the Alpine Classic Hotel offers good quality 3-star accommodation surrounded by mountains. Rooms are finished in a traditional alpine style, and some rooms have balconies but they are not guaranteed. There is a restaurant offering classics Swiss cuisine and international dishes. The large sun terrace is the perfect place to relax with a drink after a day of sightseeing.
Overnight stays will be in city-style hotels.
