A full-day, included excursion to Palma, the capital of the island. The huge Gothic cathedral stands proudly overlooking the waterfront, and the city’s main ancient monuments and buildings stand as testament to its rich and varied history. The city boasts wide palm-lined promenades dotted with pavement cafés, with the main hub being the Passeig des Born. Explore the delightful Old Town with its narrow streets and peaceful squares crammed with tasty tapas bars.

Included half-day excursion to a local wine producer with winetasting and aperitifs. We will later enjoy a paella cooking demonstration at the hotel, together with a glass of sangria.

We head to Sineu on our full-day, included excursion, where you will have the opportunity to browse the weekly market. We later travel to Manacor where the excellent pearls, regarded as some of the best in world (apart from, of course, the genuine natural pearls!) are produced. We continue to the legendary Coves del Drach (Dragon’s Cave), perhaps the most famous of Majorca’s caves. Journeying underground to the sounds of classical music by Chopin you can admire the fantastic rock formations including stalactites hanging down from the ceiling before reaching the serene waters of one of the largest underground lakes in the world.

Join our full-day, optional excursion exploring some of the villages and resorts on the north of the island. We head firstly to the ancient town of Pollença, which enjoys a charming setting between two hills. Wander the picturesque, medieval streets which lead to the bustling main square. We continue along part of the stunning Cabo de Formentor Road, which commands spectacular views over the cliff tops. We return to our hotel via a visit to the popular resorts of Port de Pollença and Alcudia.

Our optional excursion takes us over to the north west of the island, as we explore La Costa Rocosa (the Rocky Coast), with stunning scenery and villages facing the sea, backed by the peaks of the Tramuntana Mountains. We head to the old mountain town of Valldemossa, whose famous inhabitants have included Frederic Chopin and George Sand. We continue to the pretty resort of Soller, which lies in a lush valley of orange groves, idyllically set between the mountains and sea.
