We cruise down the River Garonne and then join the River Gironde, passing Patiras Island before arriving at Pauillac at lunchtime. Join our included excursion to the Medoc - a renowned region off the beaten track, where the most famous of all red wines in the world are cultivated. We pass through most of the great Medoc appelations such as Saint Julien, Margaux, Haut-Medoc and many more, following the famous Chateaux Route. We berth in Pauillac overnight.

We set sail early this morning, cruising to the Gironde estuary, passing Meschers-sur-Gironde with its steep cliffs, Troglodyte houses and fishermen's huts, before arriving in Blaye. Join our included excursion by coach along the Corniche, or cliff route. Narrow and picturesque, the road snakes alongside the River Dordogne before reaching the Gironde Estuary. Catch a glimpse of charming gardens, ancient fishermen's houses carved out of the cliff and the famous carrelets, the unique fishermen's huts perched on the wooden stilts on top of the water. The scenery here is an unusual combination of river, rocks and vines. We will stop at the charming village of Bourg, built on a rocky outcrop enclosed by medieval ramparts then return to Blaye, with its citadel.

We cruise this morning, passing the island of Cazeau, and later join the Garonne River, arriving in Cadillac in time for lunch. This afternoon, join our optional excursion to the world-famous 'wine' village of Saint-Emilion, where you can sample the wines.

Accommodation
You will cruise for five nights on board CroisiEurope’s 3-star superior ship, the MS Cyrano De Bergerac. The vessel is air-conditioned and has three decks - main, middle and upper - plus a sun deck. Facilities include a bar, restaurant and lounge. All cabins have en suite facilities and a safe.
Cabins - Accommodation is spread across three decks – main, middle and upper – and all cabins feature TV, radio, hairdryer, safe and en suite facilities.
Lounge/Bar - The MS Cyrano de Bergerac has a comfortable lounge where you can relax.
Restaurant - In the restaurant, enjoy a tasty buffet breakfast, and 3-course lunch and dinner. All meals are included, plus complimentary beer and wine at lunch and dinner, as well as an open bar throughout the voyage (Champagne or premium brand spirits and wine are not included).
Overnight stays in Chinon, Rocamadour and the Paris area will be in family-run or city-style hotels.
