Itinerary

Travel from your local joining point to your hotel in the Bruges area for a three-night stay.

Spend the morning in Bruges, with its canals, cobbled streets and shops selling the famous Belgian chocolate on almost every corner! Late afternoon, you have an included excursion to Ypres where you can see the market square, dominated by the huge Cloth Hall, with its magnificent belfry. We return to Bruges after the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate held every night at 8pm.

A full-day included visit to Brussels. Experience a thousand years of history in Belgium’s cosmopolitan capital. Your guided sightseeing tour takes in the Royal Palace of Laeken and St. Michael’s Cathedral, before arriving at the historic Grand Place – a market square with splendid guild houses and an impressive Gothic town hall. The rest of the day is at leisure before you return to your hotel in Bruges.

Before you begin your journey home, make a short visit to Ostend, the ‘Queen of Belgium’s seaside resorts’. Ostend gained its resort-town popularity from the Belgian Kings, Leopold I and II, who faithfully spent their summers here. A stroll along the promenade offers views of the Royal monuments and other historical sights.
