Discover the famous cities of Russia on this magnificent tour, as we link Moscow and St. Petersburg by high speed train. In Moscow, Red Square and St. Basil’s cathedral are a must see. On this spectacular holiday you can also visit the famous Kremlin, Russia’s political nerve centre at the heart of Moscow, before we board the high speed train to St. Petersburg. Enjoy a guided tour of the spectacular city, where history and culture go hand in hand, this is reflected in the amazing architecture, such as Decembrist’s Square and St. Isaac’s Cathedral. Before we return home, why not join us on our optional excursions to both the famous Hermitage Museum, made up of six buildings, including the Winter Palace, and the magnificent imperial palace of Petrodvorets.

Fly to Moscow, where you will be met by our local tour representative/guide and transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay.

Your taste of Russia begins with an included, guided sightseeing tour of the principal sights and attractions of the city, including Red Square, the Kremlin, and St. Basil’s Cathedral. Later, you will have time at leisure to explore. Take a journey on the beautiful metro system, where many of the stations are decorated with chandeliers, ornate mosaics and fine marble.

Join our fantastic, optional visit, first to the Kremlin, once the former residence of the Russian Tsars, but today, Russia’s political nerve centre. This mesmerising complex of towers, domed cathedrals and palaces offers an intriguing insight into Russia’s turbulent history. We continue on to the Moscow Armoury, the treasury of the Russian Tsars, boasting a unique collection of state regalia, thrones, carriages and coronation dresses of the 16th to 19th centuries and ten of the world-famous Fabergé eggs. We leave Moscow on the high-speed train to St. Petersburg, then transfer to our hotel for a four-night stay.

A day at leisure for you to explore the many other beautiful and historic sights of St. Petersburg. You will have the opportunity to join an optional visit to the remarkable State Hermitage Museum. Accommodation
You will stay for three nights at the Holiday Inn Suschevsky in Moscow or Holiday Inn Express Paveletskaya. In St. Petersburg, you will stay for four nights at the Hotel Dostoevsky or Hotel Azimut.
