Today, we head to the beautiful town of Boppard in the Rhine Valley, known for its historical architecture and charming local culture. Later, we visit the picturesque town of St. Goar; a quaint little town on the banks of the River Rhine which is home to a strong wine-growing community and, strangely enough, the world’s largest free-hanging cuckoo clock! We then continue to our hotel for a four-night stay.

We set off this morning into France, and the charming city of Strasbourg, situated in the breathtaking Alsace region. Be sure to view the Gothic Strasbourg Cathedral, the world's tallest building for over 200 years, and the many bridges crossing the Ill River, which formed part of the 17th-century fortifications for the city.
Wander the little streets of ‘Petit France’ lined with charming inns and flower-bedecked timber houses. While there, you may have the opportunity to enjoy a short cruise on the river.

We take a scenic drive through the beautiful countryside to Triberg in the the heart of the Black Forest. Triberg is home to Germany’s highest waterfalls which cascade through the Bavarian hills. It also hosts the pilgrimage church of ‘Maria in der Tanne’, which is said to be built nearby a spring with curative properties.
Triberg is also well-known for its cuckoo clock tradition; you will see carvers, clockmakers and clock shops around this quirky little town.

Enjoy a leisurely final day in the resort, or join our optional excursion to the town of Freudenstadt. Over the centuries, this beautiful hamlet has been ravaged by war, plague and fire, but has been meticulously restored to preserve its unmistakable charm.
Freudenstadt has the biggest market square in Germany, framed by pretty arcaded houses and shops.
