Included excursion to Augsburg, an old Roman city and one of the oldest in Germany. See the City Hall, Perlach Tower and the Cathedral and wander down the grand Maximilianstrasse, with its Renaissance and Baroque façades of the palaces. We continue to the pretty town of Friedberg, on the Romantic Road. Explore the romantic little streets and alleys of the old town, and the old town fortifications, with their almost completely intact towers. Relax in the central 'Marienplatz' square. Tonight, we enjoy a special dinner with music and dancing and a glass of sparkling wine at midnight.

Our included excursion takes us to Munich, the capital of Bavaria and third largest city after Berlin and Hamburg. A perfect way to get the most of your visit is by joining our guide on an optional sightseeing tour of the city. Afterwards there will be free time for you to explore at your leisure. At the heart of the city is the Marienplatz, a large open square named after the Mariensäule. The square is dominated by the New Town Hall or Neues Rathaus as it is locally known. Its tower contains the Rathaus-Glockenspeil which dates from 1908.

Join our optional excursion to the pretty town of Donauworth, on The Romantic Road. This former Free Imperial Town lies at the confluence of the Wörnitz and the Danube. Explore the Old Town and the Reichstrasse, one of Southern Germany's most attractive streets lined with imposing.

We leave our hotel and head north to Rothenburg, one of the highlights of the Romantic Road. We continue through Germany to Belgium for an overnight stay.
