Verdun Centenary Tour 2016

February 2016 marks the centenary of the start of the terrible Battle of Verdun. A battle that cost France and Germany more than 770,000 casualties in 1916 and by the close of the fighting it is said that more than 1000 shells had fallen on every square metre of the battlefield. Forested after the war, today it is one vast preserved battlefield with shell holes, trenches and forts. Join us as we travel to Verdun to attend centenary events in the area.
