After some free time to explore, we make our way to the grand Bowes Museum, where a light lunch is served before our visit. Housed in a magnificent 19th-century French-style château, the world-class museum holds an internationally renowned collection of fine and decorative arts, including European paintings, ceramics, textiles, and furniture.
